Mandalay Middle School has 395 computers for student use:


8 Chrome Book Carts for classroom use

 14 desktop computers in the library

The school can track computer use.
For class use: Teachers reserve carts
Students are assigned a computer or sign out the computer they use with the teacher
Library Computers: When not reserved, studentsmay use the library (desktop) computers on a
first come, first served basis.
Have your student ID.

Internet Use
Parents & students must read the and sign the District Student Internet Use Policy and the Internet Use Agreement found in the Student and Family Handbook in order to access the internet at school.

  • Always log in with your user name (student ID#) and Password
  • Register for the Student Password ChangeTool - This must first be done on a school computer, but can then be accessed from outside of the school.
  • Notify the teacher about any damage/problems immediately
  • Computers are to be used for school purposes only
  • Know where you are printing (LMC, LMC Bizhub, Lab 208, etc.)
  • Do NOT print directly from the internet (copy and paste what you need. Avoid copyright infringement - only 10% of any work)
  • Always log off of the computer. For laptop use, make sure that the computer is fully shut down before closing the lid and plug it into the cart.
Damage or Inappropriate Use:Student responsibility around damage
Students who damage a computer or chose not to use it properly may face any (or several) of the following, depending on the severity or circumstances of the offense.
    • Detention
    • Pay for damages or work to pay for damages
      • example: $125 to replace a damaged keyboard
    • Temporarily lose their computer or internet privileges
    • Permanently lose their computer or internet privileges
    • Suspension from school
    • Expulsion from school
    • Face criminal charges
To avoid viruses, please do NOT access your
home e-mail from school.

Use your school provided Google e-mail for school work.
(ID Number)


Google Tools (Docs, Presentation, etc.) saves your work automatically and can be shred for group work.

If you are using a program based tool (Microsoft Office, etc.) be sure to SAVE YOUR WORK whenever you stop working.
Save your work in 2 places such as:
Your flash drive
"H" drive (Your personal "home" drive your ID# at Mandalay_server = a file for your personal work)
